The Nordic Journal of Psychiatry, the official journal for the eight psychiatry associations in the Nordic and Baltic countries, is seeking to appoint a new Editor-in-Chief to succeed the current editor. For more information about the Journal, please visit Nordic Journal of Psychiatry.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the board of the Nordic Psychiatric Association and the assistant editors, taking on a pivotal role in steering the Journal’s editorial direction and advancing its mission.
Qualifications and Academic Background:
- A psychiatrist from a Nordic or Baltic country with a strong publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Previous experience as an associate editor, editorial board member, or active reviewer for scientific journals.
- Familiarity with the principles and best practices of scholarly publishing, as well as an understanding of current issues and challenges in psychiatry.
- A proven ability and desire to develop the Journal, working collaboratively with publishers and editorial teams to enhance its profile, readership, and impact.
- A strong professional network within the Nordic and Baltic research communities.
- A willingness to represent the Journal at conferences, seminars, and workshops, advocating for its mission and engaging with potential authors, reviewers, and readers.
