We are delighted to introduce the Global Updates – a new webinar series run by the CINP Traumatic Stress Global Networking Community (GNC) in collaboration with the ECNP Traumatic Stress Network.

The first in the series – “Adaptation and Recovery in Captives and Abducted Individuals:
Expert Opinions on Psychosocial Responses, Trauma Pathways, and Therapeutic Approaches”
 – will take place on April 3, 2025 at 13:30 CEST, so don’t miss the opportunity and secure your place!

This webinar will outline key processes of adaptation and recovery for individuals returning from captivity, offering guidance for caregivers, supporters, and family members. The presenters will also focus on essential principles of survivorship and recommend appropriate courses of action and treatment.

We are delighted that two leading experts in the field accepted our invitation to deliver this webinar:

He has made significant contributions to PTSD treatment, clinical research, and trauma recovery, particularly through his leadership at Combat Stress and collaborations with national and international agencies.

Prof. Arieh Y. Shalev is Professor Emeritus at the medical school of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and adjunct professor of psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is the founding director of the Centre for Traumatic Stress at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
