Dear Presidents and Official Representatives of the EPA National Psychiatric Associations,
After a period of limited opportunities for in-person projects, the Early Career Psychiatrists Committee (ECPC) is very pleased to resume the EPA Gaining Experience Programme (GEP) and offer placements in psychiatric institutions across Europe.
We invite you to take an active part in the 2022-2023 edition of the GEP, by proposing an in-person placement in your institution.
The Gaining Experience Programme aims at offering Early Career Psychiatrists short observership placements (2-8 weeks) and allow them to broaden their clinical and/or research and/or teaching skills and knowledge. You will find more information on the EPA website: Gaining Experience Programme and Programme requirements.
Please note that all proposed placements should be accessible for English speaking participants, as fluency in other languages is not required for applicants.
Is your institution interested in offering a placement during the year 2023? Please complete this online form by Monday, 20 June 2022:
For any questions, please see the information for Host institutions and do not hesitate to contact epa.gep@europsy.net.
Thank you for helping the EPA provide young psychiatrists across Europe the chance to learn from your expertise and grow professionally!
Yours sincerely,
Mélanie Rieder
Administrative and Governance Officer
