– The Ten Thousand First Days

Welcome to Uppsala, Sweden, 13–14 May 2027!

In May 2027, Sweden will welcome colleagues from across the Nordic and Baltic countries to the Nordic Congress of Psychiatry (NCP). Under the theme “The Ten Thousand First Days”, the congress will explore mental health and psychiatry from the perinatal period through childhood and adolescence and into early adulthood.

The congress is organised by the Nordic Psychiatric Association (NPA) in collaboration with a local scientific committee. Our ambition is to offer a programme of high scientific quality, strong clinical relevance and plenty of opportunities for discussion, knowledge sharing and networking.

Beyond the scientific programme, participants will have the opportunity to visit local psychiatric services, present their research through posters and connect with colleagues from across the Nordic and Baltic region and beyond.

And of course, there will be time to meet socially. The congress dinner will take place at the beautiful Uppsala Castle, providing a memorable setting for continued conversations and new connections.
